Thiemos

Thiemos is a web based learning and tutoring platform specializing in the academic strengths of it's founder, which are math and foreign language.  Statistical consultation is also available for small businesses or academic institutions.  In addition, this site showcases a "renaissance" life of multiple academic and non-academic interests as an inspiration to others who wish to acquire as much knowledge and skills as possible in this life.  

Passionate About Inspiring Others

Pushing the limits of my mind and body has always been a passion in my life.  I have a full-time job as an anesthesiologist in Miami, FL, but also fit into my day learning in various subjects like math and foreign language, the managing of a medical aesthetics spa and dermatology practice, as well as athletic training in gymnastics/tumbling and surfing.  Friends and colleagues often see me in the middle of a math problem at a desk and ask, "Are you taking a class right now?".  I look up and answer with just a hint of frustration, "No, I am doing this for fun!" My goal is that you would develop this passion for learning too. 

Though this site may be used for tutoring in specific subjects, I hope just as much to reveal a process of learning that can inspire you to excel in various academic fields much more than you thought yourself capable of.  In addition, a primary mission of this platform is the support of informal education or self-teaching.  Formal teaching institutions such as universities and colleges should never have a monopoly on declaring a person "educated".  That term is governed by the knowledge a person displays in their life and is challenged daily by the assessment of all of humanity.  I provide my credentials below not as a proof that I have attained some level of knowledge but as a way for you to learn more about me and where I began in my quest to learn.  This is because I learned most of what I know after finishing school when I actually had time to explore textbooks and detailed solutions on the internet at depth!
